Can anyone help me identity this vendor?
I need some air tools and trying to decide if this is worth it or not

I think it's a cheap Devilbiss. I've got one just like it, it's not any good.

My recommendation is to pick up the earthquake line of air tools from Harbor freight. you can usually get the 1/2 impact with a coupon for 70.00. give it the right amount of air and it really rocks. the 3/8 impacting air ratchet is really good as well. just my two cents.

That was from Pepsi's failed air tools line they briefly ran from 1991 to 1993.

There was a promotion they were running where you got vouchers for cases of Crystal Pepsi with the purchase of the air tools. The air tools were OEM'd by Bussman, who incidentally knows NOTHING about air tools. They pretty much all failed spectacularly when the glass hammer mechanism exploded. I guess that was what Bussman already was making (glass fuses) so they went for it.

Crystal Pepsi is missed, Pepsi Air Tools are not.

budget is under $100 and looking for quality for occasional use.
Ive survived with my arm so far but have to replace a couple bushings in place in my near future and I wont have a great angle or a lot of travel.

thanks for all the answers so far but Im thinking somebodys old beat up Snap On or equivalent beats a brand new HF. Maybe Im way off. I use HF for brushes and grinding wheels but not so much digital calipers or high powered air tools. Maybe I need to rethink that.

I use HF for ... grinding wheels. Maybe I need to rethink that.

Ya think? Ever seen what happens when a grinding wheel comes apart? That's about the last thing I'd buy from China Fright!

It's a cheap DeVilbiss. I have one. It came with my compressor years ago. I don't think I ever used it.

That impact is the cheapest of cheap ****. It's a paperweight. It's not often I'd recomend a Harbor Freight power tool over another, but I'm doing it now.

In fact that impacts so bad I doubt you could take lug nuts off an ******, after loosening them with a breaker bar first.
