This was posted locally for sale

they are 6ft long and 1” diameter steel rods with the eye end and threaded on the other end

Some kind of anchor I take it but what are they used for?

had to know and figured you lot were best bet

Looks like an anchor. Smells like an anchor. Quacks like an anchor.

An anchor for what though? Anybody's guess I'd say.

A lot of that type & scale of fastener/bolt/hardware is custom made I.e. job specific according to the engineering specs. Those could easily be leftover from a job.

OR - they could just as easily be a regularly used piece of kit for linemen, utility crews, etc.

Provenance always helps:
Did you take that picture?
Who is selling them?
What kind of lot are they sitting on?
What's piled up around them?
What do they smell like?
Etc.

Yep, around here, they are used to anchor guy wires on electrical poles.

To me they look like they might be used for lifting / moving pre-cast concrete forms.

Anchors for a multitude of possibilites. Lateral tension in steel buildings comes to mind but with the safety yellow I think probably power pole guy anchors also.

Unless they're older than me, probably not utility anchors, Utility anchors have 2 or 3 places for guy wires, and they look different. And 6' long is shorter than any utility guy anchor I've ever come across. 7' to 9' is the usual length for utility anchors around here. Some shorter anchors are used for rock, but these don't have the rock anchor wedge part attached.. maybe big antenna anchor?

Utility anchors also screw in, straight like that pulls out. With that many whatever they were for for was something temporary.
