Can anyone offer details on this drill press?

Picked up (another) drill press off of craigslist. It was only $50, and works great, so I bought it despite having very little information on it. There's a bit of surface rust which I plan to clean up. The older couple that I bought it off of said that it was sitting in the garage when they bought the house 8 years ago, and that they just let it sit until now. I've looked it over, but can't seem to find any information (model number for example). Although it seems to work well, I try to stay away from Chinese junk and this thing does look eerily similar, design-wise, to the Ryobi drill press that is currently on shelves at HD.

I figured this was the best place to ask. Thanks!

Its just a benchtop drill press. Use it and enjoy the day and don't worry about where it came from is my free advice.

That looks like mine. I'm not at home right now, bit if I don't forget (yeah right), I check. Don't hay the manual anymore, but got it in the early to mid 80s. Been A great little tool. Replaced the Chuck once. Had to use blue locktight on the handles to keep them for constantly backing out. The Locktight perfectly solved that issue.

Just another small Chicom import, worth about what you paid for it. Better than no DP, for sure.

I bought one of those cheap drills used for about half that price. (The one near left in photo).

I keep a step drill in it for quick and dirty holes in light gauge material.

As others have said there’s nothing special about it. Model number is totally irrelevant. It works fine for what it is and what you paid for it. Use it and enjoy.

Sweet. Thanks for the info. I’m keeping it either way because it works well. It won’t be something I use primarily but it’ll get use. You can’t see it in the pic, but right next to this one is a 50s model craftsman drill press. Model number 10x... something, can’t recall specifically. It’s a much beefier drill press, but I also paid about double for it.

Good to hear. Haven’t done more than run this one yet, but it seems to be pretty decent. The other I’ve used quite a bit for finishing 80% lowers.
