I'm looking to get into spraying different finishes on different types of materials. I have a decent 30gal 1 stage IR compressor that can do around 5 CFM @ 90 PSI. I'm just looking to pick a kit starting kit to learn on , so I'm guessing maybe 2-3 entry level guns for primer/base and clear.

Are there any decent quality guns for this level considering my low air compressor power?

I would recommend a Devilbiss kit. Something in the StartingLine kit, I personally have one of these kits for work (I have to paint tractors, lawn mowers, etc at times) and it has performed very well. The larger gun has 2 tips for primers and paints, and the small gun has I believe a 1.4 tip. I think it was in the $130 range. For my shop at home I use 2 Devilbiss GTI guns, one for sealer/ paint, the other only for clear. For my primers I have a FinishLine with a 1.8 tip. Sharpe also makes some nice guns but I don't think they have a comparable kit, I know the Cobalt gun is a very good gun as that was my first gun and with over 100 cars and one rebuild kit, I still use it from time to time.

I've been using an Astro Pneumatic EVO4014 LVLP gun with great results on my projects. It works really well with a smaller compressor and it's priced quite reasonably.

Ive been using the Devilbiss starter kit from Eastwood, great guns. The case is a bit shoddy, but the guns are nice. Stupid blow molded plastic...
