Can I borrow/rent your Chicagoland based engine hoist?

My Bend Pak HD-9 will be here in another week and I already have a trailer lined up but not a hoist (cherry picker). Anyway, I don't want to buy one of these since I don't think I'll ever use it again. I know some of us don't lend out tools (myself included with certain tools) but an engine hoist is a different animal and may possibly not have quite the same emotional attachment as a ratchet. So, if this is something that you wouldn't mine me borrowing or renting, please let me know. I'll gladly leave a tool of equal value with you as collateral and pay for the hoist if I damage it in any way. I'm in Plainfield, IL (Chicagoland) which is the burb south of Naperville. You can reach me at [email protected]. Thanks

If no one nearby comes forward. Some auto patrs stores and u-rent-um stores rent cherry pickers.

I assembled my bend-pak lift without a engine hoist. I had my wife & 2 boys help. If you are bolting your lift to the ground it makes easier.

None of the auto places or home improvement centers rent hoists. I'm going to check out general tool rental places tomorrow. Thanks

There's a chain called MaxRentals that will rent a hoist for $44/day or $35 for two hours. I'm now looking at maybe just buying a used one off of ebay or craigslist.
