I'm building a new 40x26 garage, in my old storage building (that is gone now), I had a #6/3 w/ground to feed a small panel to run my 230v compressor & some other 120v items. This circuit came from my houses 200A panel, located about 55' apart.

here's my question now, can I run another #6/3 w/ground, paralled from my 200A house panel to my new garage to feed a 100A panel?

Are you talking about running the two sets of #6 in parallel to feed a single subpanel, rather than installing a single set of larger wire? If so, the answer is no - paralleled conductors are legal for some larger circuits, but not at that size.

Yup, to small for a parrallel run,
I hate direct bury too, go with conduit and pull in conductors. You may save some cash on big sizes by going allum (thou not evryone likes that stuff)

Pics when your building!!

NEC 310.10(I) says the conductors must be at least 1/0 AWG or larger before you can parallel them. This is 2011 code. Previous code was 310.4 the 2011 code was drastically re-organized and re-paragraphed.
