Can I do this?

I want to run a series of outlets and pole lights around my yard. 20 Amps is a bit shy of what I need to do this so I'm thinking of running 30 amps on 10 gage wire out to the light/outlets. The breaker would be a GFI.
Question is: Can I use standard 20 amp outlets on the poles and still be OK code wise even though the breaker is 30 amp?

Yes, thats how i would do it.

You cannot use 30A breakers on 20A receptacles, you could put a small outdoor loadcenter at each receptacle location but that would get costly, a 20A multi-wire circuit would be a cost effective way to run it alternating receptacles between each leg.

I read it wrong, i thought he said 10 gauge wire, 20 amp breaker and 20 amp recepticiles, oops
