Can I drill a hole into a rubber stopper?

When I worked at a rubber products manufacturing plant in the mid 1980's i thought they used liquid nitrogen to freeze molded products while they were being deburred; admittedly that was long enough ago that i may be confused.Yep- cryogenic deflashing is routine. Yep- cryogenic deflashing is routine especially for o-rings. But I don’t know about cryogenic machining - seems hard to control.

Finished last week. No more rattle if I bump my knee on it getting in and out of the car. Stupid thing is I bought a bag of these stoppers with the hole already in them a few years ago for another same car, but couldn't find where I stashed it.
