I went with sealing the gas neck with some Vycor. figured if it's good enough to provide a water tight seal, it should seal in any vapors. 1st I sealed the neck,

Then I added another layer as a shield.

RIV: i see a sledgehammer, small and large hand grinders so do tell which tool and what disc or method you used?

It was a combo effort. The welds were pretty crappy. I will spend some more time cleaning and prepping the bed, but I'm on to more important task on the truck.

I'd like to get it running better so it's mobile.
