I’ve pulled out and swapped snap on hard handles and plenty of screw driver handles with the vice and pry bar method , however I’m having a hard time with MAC. Reason I’m asking is because I recently bought a MAC XR11PA ratchet which unfortunately has a crooked hard handle that I was hoping to remove and re-insert with the proper alignment
I also tried clamping the ratchet on a vise and putting an open end on the handle and whacking the wrench with a dead blow but all that did was chip a piece of the handle off.
I’m reading now that the handle might be molded on to the shank ? If that’s the case I guess I’ll have to live with a crooked handle , it’s just very annoying when it doesn’t square up with the ratchet head
Would boiling it remove it or at least allow it to slightly spin around the shank for better alignment ?
