Can I run my wires to the ground and neutral bars this way
or do they have to face the other way

They can't go that way for the grounds. They have to come from the top of the panel so the electrons can run down the wires to drain out of the panel into the ground...
Sorry...
Tommy
And that, class, is why they're called "grounds" instead of "airs" or "skies".
The return stroke of lightening originates at 'earth' and strikes upwards to the clouds. So see, there is 'skies'.Or in Britain, "Earth", as that's what the electrons drain into, eg, the Earth.
Proven by science - those big short circuits that happen during storms, ya know, the ones that go "boom"... they drain into the earth as well.
Just don't confuse your "neutral" (white wire) with your "ground" (bare wire); there's an old saying: Mix Bare and white, nails your coffin up tight. It will make your life almost as miserable as forgetting Black to Brass or it'll kick your @$$, trying White to Red, you'll end up dead, or Silver to Black, you gonna die, Jack...
