I upgraded one of the receptacles to one of those combo USB ones in a guest room so that people could more easily charge their devices. The combo USB receptacles are much bigger than normal ones. I bet the GFCI-USB ones are even bigger. They might not fit into that box at all even with minimum wires. Chances are your box is only 1.5 inches deep. ☹️
The GFCI/USB receptacles are monsters. I was really fortunate that, when we remodeled in 1993, the contractor used deep boxes everywhere. Without that, I would have been screwed.

If you can work it in without cutting too much wallboard, this box has extra wiring capacity without actually moving to a two gang box. It's a new work, box so not very easy to insert in a wall for an old work installation, but it could be done.

It doesn't take many kitchen appliances to over load a 15 amp breaker. Toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker, electric inductive kettle for the tea drinkers, microwave, tv, radio, lights, mixer, blender, phone charger, electric dental flosser charger, etc. Most aren't used for long periods of time but, tv + coffee + toast + blender for the smoothies adds up pretty quick. Just 2 big draw appliances can easily go over 15 amps.
