I'd like a nice 5lb slide hammer set. I can get the otc stinger set online for $96 shipped. Thought I'd price it through the local tool guys first though. Snapon guy wants $435 for the for the same set and $215 for the next smaller set and $580-something for basically just the slide hammer in strap-on brand. Corn-hole wants $160 for the same set with a corn-hole sticker on the case, but in this month's flyer there is the otc labeled kit for $126. I can kinda understand the $30 extra on the corn-hole truck for convinience and payments etc but $60 + for the Cornwell sticker? And 4 X the price through strap-on!!?? WTF!!!?? it's not even rebranded, it's still otc! Can someone explain to me what their thought process is here? Not to mention $96 is the total. The tuck prices still have to add on tax.

Ok, I'll bite. Just get the cheapest one. All of the slide hammers I've used and seen at flea markets are about the same. If you damage it beyond use, get another one at a flea market. Semi disposable tool in my opinion.

Almost all of them break at some point anyway. No sense owning an expensive one. We made our own dowel puller slide hammers where I worked before. They were just a maintenance item.

Oh, no doubt goin for the cheaper one. Especially since they're all the same brand. I just wanna know who the hell at snap on decided it's ok to ask $435 for something that can be had at just under $100 for the exact same thing. Not like I'm comparing SO to HF. It makes me not want to deal with them at all.
