Hello All!,
Noob here. I just recently acquired a box from a friend that I am going to restore an use while working on aircraft. Unfortunately, I can't find parts easily because I don't know who manufactured it. I've gone through the box and have not found any markings what so ever. Can anyone take a crack at it?

Very cool box!

Similar style to Snap-on industrial roll cab. Not exactly same but see pic on 1958 catalog http://www.collectingsnapon.com/catalogs/catalogs.php?loggedin=0&catalogPage=1526

I know, it had me thinking about it possibly being an MBC? At first, I thought it may be a different style of Taco Wagon. My buddy has a Taco Wagon and it looks way different. Plenty of storage thought. I am going to repaint it a deep Navy Blue color and put a Rhino liner style coating on the under side of it. I just wish I could confirm its brand so I can atleast badge it properly. Also, all the locks are either gone or don't have the keys for. I know I could get replacement tumblers but, I'm unsure of the front side door. It's longer than the others.

Do you have a photo of the locks that are missing keys? Any numbers stamped on them?

Check the face of the frame, just above the front right caster, for a date code. Sure looks Waterloo to me..........

It was made by MBC when they took care of Snap-on boxes. I have seen one with that brand (should have bought it, but it was the poor days), I have also seen a Proto once online. I have never seen one like it listed in any other catalog, so maybe made by MAC or Waterloo but without more info, I can't be sure.

That one probably wasn't sold as a SO but under some other label.

Here's mine. I'm not sure Waterloo stamps their own branded boxes and I have been over this box pretty thoroughly and found nothing.

One of the nice features of this box is the device on the handle side that once locked makes the box immoveable.

FJ,
Yours looks badass! Looks like I'm missing alot when it comes to the locking mechanics for that back and the side locker. Just kicked a message to Waterloo to see if they have any literature on it. I'm going to have fun with it. Mine isn't going to be red when I'm done with it though.

Hell yeah have fun with it, all of my boxes that I've done change colors.

I did an upper and lower box in a naval blue. But i couldn't find a paint that was a flat naval blue so I painted it glossy and found a product that flattened the gloss out.

Good luck.
