can someone identify this snap on roll cabinet?

First off let me say this is an awesome site and I'm glad i found it after finally deciding to put together my work shop in my garage. Anyway, i will be buying this snap on tool box. It is 36h 36w and 29D. the seller says all the drawers are ball bearing and that it is a heavy duty box. He said it's a 3 man lift. i was wondering if anyone could identify what model it is? he said it is in very good condition, no rust, some light scratches. i will be picking it up tomorrow. Also do you think 400.00 is a good deal? any info/opinions are greatly appreciated.

if it truly is a snap on from the tag or stamp on the back top left corner then get it for $400. great price

Welcome! I saw that one today, Where you located? Yes that's a good deal you could always try to talk him down.

Well just make sure it is real snap on. As stated above the box should have both a sticker and stamped in the metal in the corner. Usually upper left rear of box. You know, anyone can get that emblem for about 20 and slap it on a cman or worse box, so you want to be sure. I would try and offer a little less. But if it is a true snap on it is worth it.

I don't know, the size you said don't jive, there is no side trim, it's a hard call if it is a real SO. The only SO it maybe be, SO use to offer a modular box, normally it had skids under it, but casters could be added. They where made to be stacked or arranged into a workbench. If somebody has a '95 catalog, they are in there. They didn't have side trim and if I remember correct, where 29" deep. Just my two cents.

i'm a bit suspect of it too now. i asked if there was a stamp or sticker on it and he said it had a metal placard on it but that it peeled off. He also said he thought it was a 60 series but extra deep? does that make any sense?

Classic 60 are only 24" deep, I own one. It's just odd, boxes 29" deep are normally double and triples. SO does make a 29" deep single KRL, but it is a taller 1000 seies. There should be stamping or a sticker on the bottom box if you pull out the bottom drawer. If it is rebadged, I can't think of another box that size.

Studing the picture some more, I rearranged my drawers, so my classic 60 has the same layout, if he is BSing and it is only 24", I could believe that is a classic 60, but: casters look wrong, looks like both front casters sweviel and small. Classics' have 6x2" casters. Also the SO badge is on the wrong side, the Classis 60 badge should be there and SO on the left side.

The casters ARE small,but that doesn't mean he didn't put them on there to make it fit under his bench,that logo looks older,but it does appear to be in the right spot... IDK? Is it real? I couldn't tell you cause I'm not there
