Hi, I’m thinking about replacing my OEM scissor jack with a bottle jack. I’d also like something a little more portable and lighter than my floor jack, for use away from the house. Can someone recommend a good bottle jack? Are the Harbor Freight jacks any good? I have their 3 ton Daytona floor Jack that I’ve been happy with, but know nothing about the quality of their bottle jacks. I’d appreciate any advice you guys can give me.

Years ago I bought a pair of Enerpac 1.5 ton bottle jacks and a 2 ton (I think) Enerpac and they have been leak free and perform great. They have a smoother/higher quality feel than any bottle jack I've ever used.

Thank you! They look like high quality, I’ll check them out!

While I currently drive a jeep patriot the jack is a scissor jack from a 1 ton Chevy van. It is considerably larger and heavier built than the factory jack. It was in my 01 s10 blazer prior to the jeep . Also the ford 1 tons come with a nice 2 stage bottle jack . If you have a pick n pull those would be up grades for most vehicles.

I'd think almost any decent bottle jack would work, look at amazon reviews. Make sure you get one small enough to fit under the frame with a flat tire.

I have air ones. My low pro is an Astro and my regular one is Harbor Freight. Pittsburgh I think.

Both are fine, and I'm of the belief that they're all the same.

Both of mine are used to lift a semi. 20 ton ratings on both IIRC.
