I just bought a new house with a big concrete driveway. The top surface is falling apart. Can I coat the it to keep it from becoming worst? I do get some some snow here and I found a bucket of rock salt in the garage. The deepest it goes is about 3/4"IMG_6257 (2).JPG

I'm sure the rock salt was the culprit causing the damage. As for repair, there are bonding agents that would allow you to put a topping on a concrete slab but I'm not sure about outside work or if you could add the thickness that topping slabs typically have. Maybe grind down flat and seal it. Let's see how many ideas you get in the next 24 hrs.

Toppings and patches will delaminate Due to temperature changes and the different rates of expansion and contraction of different materials. We would suggest giving it a good grind, then coating it with our Surface Bond coating to stabilize it and protect it from future degradation.
