Hi can I use this wire in my garage walls for my compressor? Its the right amperage I need. I know its 3 wire and I only need 2 wire.

Black 6-3 Romex NM-B W/G Wire, direct burial, 60 AMP 220 Volt

Thank you

Is it NM-B or Direct Burial? I've never come across NM-B that is direct burial rated, that would be UF.

Since it's got a black jacket I would assume it is NM-B as UF is usually gray. NM-B is perfectly fine for in wall use

What kind of wire is rated for 220V? NM cable is rated for 600V so the OP is not giving all the info.

You can use NM-B in walls. What kind of compressor do you have that calls for a 60A circuit? NM-B is not direct bury cable.
