It seems like half of the threads on the forum have images that are way too big for the screen and get stretched out. On most sites, an automatic image resizer automatically makes the images smaller so they're able to be viewed in the thread and you can click on the image to open it in a new tab to see it in the bigger size.
This would be such a huge improvement for the site and there's literally no negative consequences.
Here's an example of how the image resizer works -- as you can see in the link the image is automatically resized to fit the thread's width and if you click the yellow bar at the top it takes you to the full size image:

I run two sites and use the following product - it does cost $10 but it's a small price to pay to make your website usable with all these big images being posted in the threads.
