Employee discounts on cars may or may not be a big deal, depending on where you live. In a big city, with lots of dealers, you can get within less than 5% of employee price. In a small town or a county that may only have 1 or 2 dealers, it could mean 10-15%.

I wonder if someone could walk into a store and lie and say "I work for Acme Tool Co and I know we get a discount here" and thus get the discount? I am sure most stores would not even check/verify that the person actually works where they say they do.
It's not honest, so I wouldn't even do it in the first place, though.

usually, - there are better deals to be found online than with employee stuff.. i can get discounts on anything from new cars to appliances, computers to flowers - and honestly i dont even bother looking. i do however get free hbo,showtime,cinamax,epix,encore and every other movie channel both on fios and online - but dont hold your breath for me to post that..

My workplace has big national contract with Grangers and employees get the discount also....Guess what...last time I priced some power tools...dewalt stuff and what price was sky high even with discount...Price was way, way more cheaper at home depot then granger Employee discount....
Now only thing I use granger employee discount is to get air conditon motors, hvac parts and what home depot or amazon doesn't carry...
As I said before...Granger and Hot deals don;t mix....infact its on the opposite corners even with employee discount....

Best deals for employees are on 3point5.com. The discounts you can get on stuff is ridiculous.

Nope, I have a partner code. You use your own info on the form.

Ford retirees take your info, login to a special web site and generate a code for you.
Yeah, every time I think about my Grainger discount I go look and say well this drill is 179$ at HD. With Grainger discount it's... 425$. Getting a discount on overpriced items isn't a deal.
It looks like that is for people who work retail? I don't quite understand what it is.
