That turned out really well! I like that and will copy a few ideas if you don't mind like the anvil. I have all kinds of rail around here and that is a perfect fit. Not sure why I didn't think of that myself. :dunno:

Great build man, I can tell you've thought through the design. I like what you've done with the table. I especially like the storage tubes that don't use up shelf space. Nicey done.

Been a while since posting anything on the table. It remains the same as the pictures on page two of this post. And I still would not change any of the construction details to date. (right now I'm actually using it as a table to make my grandson a toy barn for Christmas)

I have been thinking about adding a couple of storage drawers below the bottom shelf for welding supplys, 4 1/2" angle grinders, grinding wheels, etc.

I am not sure what to do for guides on the drawers? Besides needing to carry a lot of weight, I'm concerned with grinding debris getting into the ball bearings and screwing them up. Anyone use small caster wheels to suspend the drawers? What do the pull out drawer storage in pickup trucks use?

Ideas?

What about simply using angle iron on both the drawer and the frame and riveting some UHMW plastic as a bearing surface on one or both mating faces? I have used plastic strips in similar applications, and I am always surprised at how easily I can move very heavy loads.

This is a great idea, especially if its UHMW against UHMW, it is some slick stuff and would likely last forever.
