My guess at first glance was also a giant sized needle scaler, but usually the needles are closer to the end of the nose.

I think it is used to force the coolant out, you put it into the radiator opening, open the drain petcock and then pull the trigger is what I'm guessing.

i thought that as well, but off of a die grinder set up that is meant to spin.

I made it out of an old cut off tool. It is my big spit ball gun. I used to have friendly battles with the other guy in the shop. If I wraped some bolts in paper towels and dunked them in water, I could leave a welt on the guys *** from 20 feet away.

Good times.
