Iron Horse, The Bennington HomeHeaters have been made for over 25 years and are still being made by the same fabrication shop in North Bennington Vermont, about 20 miles from me. I think the name of it is L & M Fabrication. They sell the stoves under the name Energy Marketing Corp. The H 1 Homeheater goes out the door brand new for about 1300. They are big boxy well built stoves. The H2 is the bigger model . I think it weighs around 625 pounds. I see them used around this area anywhere from 4-6 hundred. many in this area burn large chunks of wood in them. The older ones were certified for wood and coal but the EPA says they can only be certified for coal now, even though the stove design hasn't changed at all. They have a screw on the ash door for air intake when burning coal and two screws on the loading door for air intake over the top when burning wood. The front looks similar to a harman sf 150/250 except no little window. The company uses a building block process where you can go back and buy a kit to make it into a warm air furnace ducted into your system. They sell all replacement parts relatively cheap. Not pretty to look at this is a workingmans stove but it will pump out the heat. Good luck.
