can you identify these different masonry drill bits?

i have been going through dad and grandpas tools and i want to know what the different purposes of these masonry bits? some are old amd they are no longer able to teach me. thanks.

1, 3, and 4 are standard concrete bits. The 2nd one is a rebar cutter, for concrete with rebar in the hole. The last one is for Tapcon screws and fits the driver.

I think the drill fluting (flighting/spiral) is just a means to deliver the drilled material to come to the surface. All are carbide masonary, concrete or stone bits. Simply size and length required to drill for attachments, plugs/anchors, screws or simply access holes. All can be used in a standard drill.

The second masonry/stone drill bit is for a fluid cooled drilling machine and I believe it is not necessarily hammer/percussion drill.

ok thanks for the input fellas. im still not clear on which ones to use for what purpose. i have a bosch drill with hammer switch. can someone compare sdvantages of these two bits thanks

Use the top one when you want a twisty bit. Use the bottom one when you want an even twistier bit.

If the carbide cutters are in good shape and cut I would use either. If your Bosch is a Bulldog Model like mine it needs SDS bits. Unless of course it has been retrofitted to use standard bits. To save the wear on the bits and if it doesn’t make a mess use water to aid the cutting process.
