The rebranded Snap On's use an universal joint for the release. The Norco 71230 uses a gear type release. Easy to spot if you look at the handle yoke or holder, but of course, you need to know of that difference in advance. Also, the top flange on the Lincoln's, Hein Werner's, Snap O's is straight. The Norco flange is not a straight line but it has a slight turn along its length.
To make things more interesting, there is a company called PROJACKS that makes a jack that is very similar to the Hein Werner. The difference in the body is that the flange has less width. Also, the pump looks the same as the Hein Werners. However the Projacks pump has some internal differences. It uses the cheaper o-ring and o-ring retainer instead of an u-cup. On the good side, it has seals for the oil tank (both ends) and it also has a sealing washer for the cylinder. The Lincoln, Hein Werners do not have seals for the oil tank nor for the cylinder, requiring that these be tightened to higher torque values to prevent leaks.

Shinn Fu also made a Blackhawk BH 6020 floor jack which was the same as the Hein Werner 93642 but it was made in China. It was red in color.
