There is a yard sale tomorrow in my area. They posted a bunch of photos of various things, including this one of a welder, but no description, no price, no other info. Can anyone identify it?

I plan to go look at it tomorrow. I already have a 115v MIG and a 230v TIG, so don't need it too bad. But it's worth a look. Don't know what they are asking for it.

Stick is great! Add the extender unions for long leads and you can run it out to your driveway for heavy, all metal (cast iron, dissimilar steel with problem solver rod, etc) high wind welding. Good price and it hasn't been abused, why not?

This is a mig welder. This is Lincoln's answer to the "millermatic". It is a wire feeder and power source together. Never welded with one, but knew a paving company with one. I would say it is old and heavy, but I am sure it will weld nice. Keep in mind that older machines can have limited parts availability, or expensive parts(not economically feasible). Bigger industrial welders have the power source and feeder separate. Oh, and this is a constant voltage welder so it will not stick weld. You will need a constant current machine or cc to stick weld. Good luck.

This is a great welder i bought one new in 1982 its still going strong. The nice thing about this machine is you can get an extension cable and take the feeder out of the side of the machine and just move the feeder around.

The seller confirmed it's an SP 200 and sent a few more photos. He's asking $500, but did not confirm that it works. It's at a yard sale, so I doubt he can demonstrate it. Seems like a lot not knowing if it works.

You shouldn't buy it then. A used machine is not for everyone. Dont worry, someone will snag it up. Its a good machine and really got some poop. I used one in the early 90's as I recall. It was made before the number inflation race and it is a 250 class or better machine today.

I went and looked at it this morning. It is a single phase machine. But there was no way to test it out. I offered $200 as-is, but they passed. It is a big machine it would have been a tight squeeze in my crowded garage.

I didn't leave the yard sale completely empty handed. I got this hand little Lincoln/Harris port-a-torch set for $40. It's all there, including airgas tanks. All I need to do is get a fresh set of tanks and clean it up a bit. Just right for small, quick jobs.
