Can you identify this MacPherson Strut Spring Compressor? Help needed!!!

The images below are of a MacPherson strut coil spring compressor. It belongs to a friend of mine and I would like to purchase the identical unit.

All I know is it was the Toyota factory recommended shop tool for dealerships in the 80s/90s. There are no markings or numbers of any kind on it.

I have it sitting in my ancient Columbian vice!

Hmm I really want to try and make something like that, but having a weld fail under a compressed spring is a terrifying thought.
