Can you overgrease an impact wrench?

If you put to much grease into an impact wrench, could it have negative impacts on the impact? Could it skip teeth? Excess grease could get pusehd into the handle of the grease, which may be a problem if it conducts electricity on coordless tools? I have never regreased an impact wrench, and am wondering if I have to worry about putting in to much.

I suspect that too much wouldn't be great. As a rule, I try not to fill spaces more than 1/3 full of grease.

Too much will push out of the seal around the anvil.
