Easco was the OEM for Craftsman for many years, many say for Craftsmans best years.Nothing wrong with Easco, they're a quality name.Nice find.

Those are 12 point right? Those sets are often found on Ebay in a black plastic blow molded case. Back in the mid 1980's Easco had a large contract for metric sockets and wrenches as the HMMWV's wre replacing jeeps.
They're decent tools that well serve you well but, they won't take a lot of abuse. They are basically the same as Craftsman or Napa sockets from that timeframe.
Easco's plant used to be in Gastonia NC if I remember right. Back in the 80's many auto parts stores in the southeast had light blue tool boards displaying their Easco tools behind the counter. Easco was bought by Danaher in the laste 1980's and absorbed into KD tools. Some of their ratchet designs have been absorbed under the Armstrong banner since the KD hand tools division was killed off last December to provide for Gearwrench's expansion. It's funny how some brand names never completely die off. If you flip over a package of Gearwrench wrenches today, in small letters it will state that Gearwrench is a division of Easco tools. In the future it will probably say apex.

Then why don't you have your own Armstrong made GMTK in a Pelican case? You shouldn't have to buy anything.:wtf:

FWIW, I helped out at a parts store here in Spokane in the early '80s. They had a board of Easco. I was getting into metric at the time and took much of my pay in tools. I've used Easco metric OE and combo wrenches, std and flex sockets for thirty years now and they will withstand any reasonable use. Bottom line, they're the best Craftsman ever made.

I like Easco stuff. I think they also made the NAPA, Master Mechanic, Craftsman, and a few other store label tools. Anyone have some Napa open ended raised panels they want to sell? Looking for a NDF20.
