Can you use slatwall on an adjoining wall?

If I wanted to use slatwall on the walls adjoining the main part of the house would it pass code? Or does it fall under the same category as OSB and plywood?

I don't know of a code restricting osb and plywood if you have the required wall material under it.

I am meaning without putting up any drywall. We are building our house and trying to avoid wasted material.

You may also want to request a spec sheet on the product and check w/your
bldg dept.
