Saw this on another thread, but the American site. Usually we don't get the same deals, but it works in Canada!

18-30mm ratcheting wrench set for $200 ($15/ea). Hit buy to fill in a couple holes in my drawer (one of which was a Powerfist 20mm I've been dying to get out of my chest and move out into my road box to hide my shame :), and the rest on the hook with the jumbos (26mm+ go on the wall). Pretty good for large ratcheting wrenches. List price of $2K - lol

Damn good deal! I think I've got all, or nearly all those sizes - but I'm still tempted.

Not sure how good they are, but these lug nut sockets are going on sale for 60% off down to $40 this Friday:

Thanks, looks like a great set, I just wish these would come with 22mm sockets as pretty much all of my vehicles use that now. Plus I don't know the last time I've seen a 1-1/16 lug nut!

Have you seen this set? I got it last month just for the sockets, even though I already have their torque stick set. I haven't needed to use them yet, maybe next month when we change the wheels over. Then again, the Maximum set is cheaper and has the 3 metric sizes I need, plus a few extras. It also looks heavier duty, but we all know looks can be deceiving.

$25 reg price seems like a good deal already.
That is fantastic. I just got home from PA, and was prepared to head back tomorrow if they had them in stock here.

Anyone have any idea how long PA usually cycles the surplus stuff before clearancing? On average i’ve been good with the initial price, but sometimes there’s those items I just want and can’t quite justify the sticker price...

If you need what is supposed to be the best heavy duty snap ring pliers on the market, now is the time. Amazon appears to be blowing out their remaining stock. These are 170 - 200 everywhere else on the internet.

That's a good deal. It looks like this could also function a bit like a pin spanner as well? I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this. I don't need it RIGHT NOW, but sooner or later I will come across a snap ring that stops me in my tracks......

Osca 32oz ball pein is on sale at Princess Auto again. Like $16. I do not think you could find a better ball pein at that price, assuming you need a 32oz.

Gearwrench reversible 16 pc set for 40% off (warehouse deal). Only one left. I just went with Williams (Taiwan), but was still tempted at this price!

$7 plier rack. Way cheaper than Olsa or other comparable options.

I bought one like this from PA about four years ago. It was $6, black and a little longer. I’ve upgraded since, but it was a pretty useful option.

I’m guessing it will be available tomorrow when the new flyer is out.

Channellocks are 25% off at Canadian Tire - most of them anyway. This is about as good as it gets for sale prices. You can also Price Match most of them at Home Depot for an extra 10% off.

The Maximum 1/2” ratchet with 16” long handle and comfort grip is on sale ($45). Individual stuff doesn’t usually go on sale. I’d consider that more important to building a tool set than standard length ratchets, which are included in most socket sets.

A tad more expensive than some bargain long handled ratchets, but 90 tooth and comfort handle is pretty nice.

Proto oil filter wrench, 3-1/2-Inch to 3-7/8-Inch, $13.79 on Amazon.

I'm not suggesting there's anything super-special about it - lots of wrenches in this style for sale and they're usually not terribly expensive. However, seems cheap for Proto.

I stumbled onto it because my Channellocks, which is what I use on pretty much everything, are awkward to use on my F150. Thought I would look for a different style - low and behold these cheap Protos are the right size.

Noticed a pretty sweet price on Crescent fencing pliers on Amazon:

Fencing Pliers

I have these - and other fencing pliers too. I use fencing pliers a lot and what I like about Crescent's is the sharp tip on the pry end - that helps a lot when trying to get under staples.

Do you also own the Channellocks and if so, how do they compare? I need a new set to replace the no-name worn out pair that I have, but can't decide if I should pull the trigger on these or wait for a sale on the Channellocks.

Ive used them. I would get Crescent's version. I know that sounds blasphemous - my plier drawer is full of blue handles.

The Channellocks are typical Channnelock good-quality. No knocks against them - they will serve you well for years. It's just that they are the traditional style, whereas Crescent's have some design tweaks that are actually useful.

Primarily I like the thinner spike - but I also like how the grabbing part pokes out a bit. They have hardened cutters too.

Plus, even on sale, this is like half the proce of Channellock (and at least in my opinion, better.

I have that knife, it’s a good knife for $15, definitely not for $50.
The quality is ok but nothing like my 30year old Buck 110.
The handle is small and kind of uncomfortable. It does hold an edge well.

I have the other Buck Canadian Tire sometimes puts on sale. I think it's called the Matrix 2.0 or some such. I basically feel the same as AldeanFan.

The key feature of these cheap Buck knives is the better-than-average blades. It's 420HC, which is a common blade steel, but Buck claims to have a superior heat treating process. For $15 you might not even get 420 steel on some cheap knives- but the Bucks seem to hold an edge better than most.

I think it's great for a knife you might lose or abuse, but the handles, pivots and locks aren't anything special.
