Princess Auto seems to run the best deals on Titan tools. I never see prices that good from Amazon or KMS.

Yeah, it was already a steal at regular price, so the extra $20 off was a nice bonus when I got there to pick it up! I bought something like this ages ago as a gift for a friend who loves it to this day.
Just thought I'd mention KTS Tooling Supply. I just placed an order with them - but haven't received it yet, so this isn't an endorsement.

I already have a Swisstool or I'd be all over this. Don't have the ratchet though...
I think the Swisstool is the friendliest- looking multitool. I bought it specifically for use at the office. Quality is great.
I prefer my Skeletool for pocket carry, but this one has its place.

Here's an odd one. You have to select Amazon as the seller - which shows as "temporarily out of stock". However, VERY good price on this Felo Smart double-ended multi-blade screwdriver set. $37
Note, this is the old style where there's a hex hole in the side of the handle to use the blades as a T-handle. The newer version swings out into the T-handle shape.
I have the new version and it's pretty great. Solves the thickness problem which prevents to recessed screws with insert bit drivers. My one quibble is that the long blades have a slight wobble in the driver handle. I done notice it in-use, but my Vessel screwdriver blade handle doesn't do that.

Here in Grande Prairie, AB they show $44.99 in store but on the website it says $23.93 when bought online and picked up at the store. I’ve seen this often with Canadian tire.

You're right. The stores that have stock have them on sale, which implies they are getting clearing them.
Okotoks did a terrible job of stocking and displaying them and I wouldn't be surprised if they are not going to carry them.

Seeing them on store clearance makes me a bit worried they might be dropping the Knipex line. Im sure its just this item, but I always considered Knipex a bit too premium for current Canadian Tire.. Hope Im wrong!

I agree. Canadian Tire customers see the high prices for Mastercraft and wait for the regular 50% off sale and go wild. The Knipex doesn't normally drop and it has just been sitting on the shelves.

I hope Canadian Tire will carry Knipex the same way they do with Channellock - stable stock levels and occasional discounts. Coupled to store balance rebates, often the prices are better than those in the US.
On a separate note, the lines and products that get dropped are often Stanley Black Decker brands. SBD seems to use Canadian Tire as a testing ground, rolling out new lines of products and discontinuing in a few years. About 10 years ago, Canadian Tire sold Dewalt wrenches with a Proto anti-slip design and shinning chrome plating. Then about five years ago the same wrenches were stamped "Stanley Fatmax" and plated a gunmetal chrome. A year or two later, the same wrenches are stamped Craftsman and were sold in the US - more recognized branding, higher price, and bigger market. Also, some Maximum hand tools have Gearwrench cousins. However, often it seems that Maximum uses obsolete Gearwrench designs.

Looks like the decent 90T ratchets are on the way out. Lowest sale price I saw previously was $49.99, $149 reg.. I think they were gearwrench.

I know the Knipex tools arent selling. My store has a pair of pliers that have damaged packaging, and theyve been the same pair (same damage) has been there for at least 6mths. Heck my crappy tire doesnt even keep them in the locked cage where they keep just about all the other hand tools! They are on the hooks. Interesting thing is even the criminals arent stealing them. Unfortunately Knipex is that much of an unknown to them, they're un-resellable.
I got a feeling theyre going. Too bad. Crappy didnt do much of anything to promote the brand as something special. They didnt play up the Made in Germany aspect, nor advertise them with a lifetime warranty (like Mastercraft), I think that, and the fact that they dont go on canadian tires usual deep discount, means customers arent interested. People at CT will just by MC tools "theyre all the same" in their eyes. You have $90 Plierswrench hanging beside $10 MC brand Channelocks, so what do you think people will buy?
I wish Home Depot would bring the line into stores instead of only online in Canada. HD shoppers tend to spend more I think. Customers who go to HD arent chasing cheap like CT has positioned themselves.

Home Depot had Knipex in store, and stopped about 6 months ago.
I don’t know as far as CanTire. They got rid of a couple of Knipex items last year, but added a few that seemed more logical to offer. I don’t see a lot of point to the Alligators - if I’m bothering I’m getting Cobras. I think they know they need a little bit of higher end offering to pull in more serious users, both aspirational items to sell as well as to sell plumbing, electrical, parts, etc. But what that higher end looks like will be curious longer term.
The Wera stuff may also be a question. To me it is a less focused assortment.

I dont know where you are, but there has never been Knipex in the Halifax HD's. Always been able to order it online though. The main Halifax store wasnt even really a Milwaulkee "anchor" store with the full selection until about 1 or 2 years ago, and Milwaulkee is a main HD brand. We're really lacking for selection here.

Out west Home Depot had 5 or 6 Knipex items on the shelf for maybe 2 years. A little less selection than CanTire.
NAPA carries Knipex now too, but KMS has been the best priced that I’ve seen. I’m not often near one, though.

KMS is a bit of a non-starter for us on the east coast, what with Canada post ****** us on shipping.
Speaking of Napa, they actually have a pretty decent deal on Knipex in this Real Deals. The Aligator pliers are almost the same cost as Cdn tire's clearance. Our Napa doesnt stock though.

Showing 44.99 for me as well, UNTIL I clicked on the store with stock and the website changed that to my store, and boom! 29.93. Good to know about the ctc website... why do they have to make everything difficult? Just show us the facts straight up.
It’s been a long time since I ordered from them. Last time I did I got free shipping. Not sure if it would stay that way to checkout, but quoting shipping on a $100 order it showed $0 for basic shipping for me.
Even if not, maybe still worth watching. Last month had some good deals on Cobras - if you bought two the savings vs. Amazon or CTC would more than pay for shipping.
