Well, my quest drill press is found, and resting in my shop.
I've had a Buffalo 15 for a couple years now. Works great, and have since installed a 2 speed (single phase) motor for easy switching, between pulleys & motors speeds it has 10 speeds I believe.
Recently picked up a Canadian Blower & Forge #15. 3 phase, with table raise/lower hand crank but haven't spun it yet to see runout. Plan was to check it out and use for metal work with VFD, and start refurb one or other over fall/winter.
However on a whim I bid on this Buffalo 18, auctioned online from same school I picked up my Rockwell 12/14" table saw.
Very low bid, but not 15mins before another 18 went for same price as my bid, no way they let 2 go at that price.
For some crazy reason no one out bid me... and today I went to pick it up. With gas, cost about $100Cdn!
Online pics made it look "meh" I'll fix it up.
In person it is "WOW" and I expect to put it into action soon after our camping trip.
Table raise/lower mechanism is smooth & easy, paint looks new, everything looks well cared for. Now it is missing depth gauge, and pieces for foot lever (if it ever had them), but arc of shame is minimal compared to some I've seen/had.
It is HUGE and I knew it would be, but I didn't realize till I got there. Can't wait to fire this up and see it go.

Switch will be useful for triggering VFD, will also have speed control close by.
3/4Hp, 3phase, which is my 4th 3phase machine, loving the price tags people let these go fo and the possibilities 3phase open up.
