If anyone is in need of a router, this looks OK ($110.)

http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/p...524443294345&bmUID=1313196521621#BVQAWidgetID

I have shown this picture before, but it is amazing the amount of work you can do with this setup and not have to resort to a router table if space is a real issue. If it is still true that the standard bushings do not fit that original base plate center hole, you can solve that problem with an auxillary base plate. Mine stays on there permanently.

Life is also much easier with a foot switch on this setup.

You can easily duplicate small parts if you rough cut them to size and finish off with a pattern bit, available for about $15. Like post #175 here:

Always get router bits with a 1/2" dia. shank if you have the choice.

Not usually a fan of those things, but am going to look at it. It has a "hex" on the shaft to help out if required.

Take a look at this low profile ratchet set........has solved the problem for me, a couple of times, getting in there where other things won't fit.

Me too; that little set has been very useful & deserves its place in my main tool bag...

I have 3 sets......

One in my toolbox at work (which I use everyday), one in my "go" box for AOG situations, and one in my toolbox at home. I can't imagine not having one now.

For $9.99, it's one of the best deals going for any tool.

Last sale I ended up getting the Mastercraft Maximum 1/2" torque wrench for half off or there abouts. Most of my hand tools are mastercraft maxiumum and they're all holding up really well. Would like to get some tool truck and German stuff down the road but that would be for the tool **** aspect of it. This stuff that I have now is more pedestrian and basic but it gets the job done.

how do you like it and is it a click type i may be picking one up

I've got the 1/2" Maximum torque wrench as well. I've had it for perhaps 3 or 4 years, and just use it as a DIY'er. It's quite reasonable for my purposes, it actually gets a fair bit of use (my father, brother, and I all use it for rotating tires or switching to winter tires). I'm not a huge fan of the rubber handle (prefer the knurled aluminum ones), although it's reasonably comfortable. The locking ring is plastic, but that's not serious either for occasional to moderate use. The biggest thing I'd like to see on these is a couple of other sizes - the 250 ft.lb. model is nice and long, but a 150 ft.lb. model would be a little easier to handle. I'd also like to see something in the 40-50 ft.lb. range, as 250 in.lb. is a too small for quite a few jobs.
