I have it and have used it for years - only broke one (small one). Treat them with care i.e. don't over torque them.

I now (also) have their major, titanium coated set. Awesome value when on sale!

For 27 bucks, sure... the taps are fragile.

I disagree. Ive had this set for almost 10 years. Its been very solid. Mine is old tho. Maybe the new ones are made differently.

I have a few of these sets (both the old uncoated versions and new "TiN" coated) and I've never seen one fail by wear. They work fine when used gently, but break pretty quick when abused.

For $27, they're not a bad deal.

If you need just one tap right now buy a single and hold off for that set because it goes down to 39.99. However if you need a full set right now then yes it is worth every penny and more I have used mine a lot and have only broke two taps and have returned then no questions asked

Definately home-owner grade stuff, but if you really need an assortment on hand, why not? I agree with a previous poster, if you only need one tap here and there, buy them from an industrial supplier, and get a good handle too, you'll be much happier.

Check the wording on the "Lifetime warranty", some of CTs don't cover breakage, only "defects".

The handle for taps isn't as strong as it needs to be...
