Canady Otto v belt

I have a model 16 Canady Otto drill press i am trying to find a v belt. The best measurement i have is 22 in pulley to pulley.

There are formulas (and online calculators) for determining the belt length, based on center distance between pulleys and pulley diameters. You'll also need to know the width. A 3L belt fits in a pulley that's 3/8" between the flanges. 4L and A fit in 1/4", and B fits in 5/8"

Your other option is to buy a link belt. HF actually sells nice ones. Link belts don't transfer as much power as conventional belts, but assuming your motor is well under 1HP, it'll probably be fine, and link belts can run smoother too.

Run a piece of string around the pulleys and mark where the end meets to make a complete loop. Measure the lwngth of string from end to mark in inches and add a 0 Then determine correct width of belt. Example 3L450 is 3/8 x 45 inches.
