Hi.
My names Josh, I'm 34ish (I think) and after 14 odd years in the public service, I decided that sitting behind my desk for another 25 years or so until retirement sounded like hell.
I hadn't really had a hobby in the last ten years, I've had my motorcycles, (Ducati 750SS, KTM 640 Adventure, KTM RC8) but nothing I'd really count as a hobby.
Two years ago now, I built my house, and decided that 2015 would be "Year of the Josh" and thankfully my wife thought it was a good idea too. I decided that in 2015, I would do the things that made me happy, so I bought a kart and raced it for the year, and chased down my dream/vague thoughts of doing two years of training in Motorsport.
So now I'm in Wodonga, doing my first year of Motorsport Training with Motorsports Training Australia.
It's a pretty interesting course, but I'm by far the oldest guy there, everyone else being 16-19 years old...
I can only hope I wasn't that bad when I was 18. Someone really shoulda kicked my ***...
Anyhow, thats me. Now I'm spending my days learning how to service gearboxes, brake systems, engines, and helping to assemble a V8 supercar, a V8 brUTE, and a Formula Ford. We've done CAD, machining, welding courses already with electronics to come. It's jam-packed.
Who said you couldn't teach old dogs new tricks?
