I`d pay $40 for it, and fill one side w/nuts to go w/beer, and the other side w/free candy for the kids.

Reminds me of the cashew machine at the bar my dad use to go to. 25 cents and a hand full of cashews. Tasted good with the draft beer! $40 is a deal! (cost you more in cashew to fill-er up!)

We have a single at work. Coffee fund manages it. They keep Skiddles (Bought in bulk bags) in it, and the profit is enormous, dispenses from 14 to 16 Skiddles per quarter.

I don't dare keep a candy machine in my shop. I'd never be able to keep it stocked fast enough. For being in my 30's, I still go through pop and candy like fish go through water:lol_hitti

you should buy both for a hundred if possible, in my opinion, and sell the newer one for a profit to get the older one for less moolah

I have three of 'em. A penny machine, a nickel one and a dime one. I keep 'em full of M&Ms, jelly beans & cashews in that order. The cashews seem to go first, probably 'cause it sits on my '63 Vendo Coke machine. Kinda fun to see how people react to them.

Yeah, they're definitely worth $40. Get 'em and enjoy.

Make sure they have keys. I would advise against buying a machine without keys. It may not belong to the seller. Especially if it is full of product. You do not want to be buying a stolen vending machine. If they're clean those are good prices. If you put them out in the public space you may need a license on them and tags.

My Dad used to have one of those in front of his gas station back in the 70's. I remember filling it up often ... and lugging it out in the morning and back in at closing time. As a kid I was never sure why that was a "service station" thing but a lot of them had them. Where are you in Ontario? Does it have "Lloyd's Sunoco" hand written on the back of it? If so I'm claiming first dibs.

Im in the ottawa region, but the machines are in the Montreal area.

The guy only has one beaver model, and 6 of the other three compartiment.
He seems to own or be working in a compagnie that provides coffe machine and vending machine. I should get a response by this afternoon. If he doesn have a key it would cost me 20$ more to get a lock and key from beaver.

I bought one liek this from ebay. It was something like $150 new with shipping including a chrome pedestal that cost $20 more than black, I think. Sadly, it sits in my basement waiting for the basement to be finished.

We have one at the firehouse, M&Ms and Skittles.

I'd love to have one in the garage. Heck, just thought of this, the wife has a gumball one right behind me. lol

If it's a Beaver and it's in good working order, then it's definitely a steal at $40. They're the Cadillac of vending machines. I've found that peanut M&Ms are by far the best sellers, but low profit. Gumballs sell good too, and they're CHEAP. Be careful of any types of nuts, since you could have insect problems.

A couple of years ago, I was seriously considering giving up wrenching for a living (had a psycho boss:eyecrazy: and couldn't find another job). Started a vending route, but I just didn't have the passion for it, that I do fixing bikes.

Check out the Vendiscuss forum. It's the Garage Journal of the vending business.:)

When you're in the vending business, you will need to have change available for any garage birds who need it. Bill

Dang I cleaned up the other week. $55.00 for both racks and machines. Rough shape, but I'm just cutting them up for aquariums and planters.

Here are some of the candy, gum and soda machines in my garage, The Hot Rod Grille. I keep them stocked with fresh product and they get a lot of attention (use) when buddies drop by. A fun addition to any garage, but since it costs more to fill the machine than it vends the product for, you'll have to sell a lot to make a profit :lol_hitti
