I don't know for sure - but maybe the 'cookie' for the site changed. I would try refreshing your browser (chrome ctrl + F5) and if that doesn't work, look into how to delete the individual cookies for garage journal

Another option is to try to see if it will open in an 'incognito window'

It was down most of the day yesterday for maintenance. I believe they did an update. Reboot you pc and try again. If that doesn't work, clear out your cache & cookies and try again.

I installed Firefox a few days ago and can get on the Journal with it. I just checked on IE and it will not work. I get this message:

This page can’t be displayed

Turn on TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2 in Advanced settings and try connecting to https://www.garagejournal.com again. If this error persists, it is possible that this site uses an unsupported protocol or cipher suite such as RC4 (link for the details), which is not considered secure. Please contact your site administrator.

Change settings

A few days ago when this first happened I checked the TLS things and they were all on.

If I do a reverse IP lookup on GarageJournal.com, I get this

attachment.php

Yet, If I try to go directly to that IP address -> 170.249.209.218, it will error out with this message

attachment.php

Some of you may want to try clearing your DNS cache on your computer to see if that is the problem, instructions can be found here

https://docs.cpanel.net/knowledge-b...utm_source=cpanelwhm&utm_medium=great_success

TLS is basically encrypted DNS, which is what Firefox uses, and will pull DNS requests from a different set of servers

I'd stop using IE.

It's outdated and a security risk

But it’s much better than anything we have now I prefer it to everything. I especially hate Google Chrome that is confusing as heck and doesn’t give the same setup or results as Internet Explorer.

I don’t know why you can’t. I don’t use it on my computer as I can’t browse or type as easy on there. It is very rare my computer gets used.

I am curious - try going to this page with both your browsers and see what the DNS Settings are.

https://browserleaks.com/ip

Here are mine, I specifically use CloudFlare. Results are about halfway down the page on that test site

Attempting to visit the bare IP delivers a cpanel error. That’s normal behavior.

****

If you are having issues visiting the site in IE it could be one of the following:

1. It’s possible the domain hasn’t fully propagated. This could take another day or two.

2. SSL doesn’t support ie 7 any longer due to a security risk. This will be internet wide by 2021, but we jumped early cuz I don’t play with that stuff.

I.E. is insecure, no longer supported and has been replaced by Edge, if you still have IE as your only browser either you have a Windows update issue or are using the the now unsupported Windows 7 or worse XP.

There are several browser alternatives Chrome, Firefox, Vivaldi or even MS Edge to name a few that can be downloaded and installed.
For those posting they get different results in a search it's because you are using different search engines as default any of them Bing, Google, DuckDuckGo can be set to the default search engine in all of the modern browsers.

I.E. is no longer supported, thus no updates to the latest protocols the site is using.

What Operating System are you using?
