Sounds like a damn good deal. But I have seen adds exactly like this one with a small snap on box and a bunch of ****** dirty tools.

I've seen a few listings like that. I typically send them a statement of the snap on warranty agreement which states it legally only applies to the original purchaser, and thus when bought used from a private party does not apply any longer. I then tell them I will give them 2x their asking price in cash if they can show me the receipts that prove they actually paid what they claim to have paid for the items. In this case $80,000. Strange enough only one person has ever replied and they basically told me to go F myself. Hard to reason with a lying idiot.

Oh Grasshopper be very careful in what you say...old woody has every receipt from the last 40 years for every tool ever bought...

But I must say that sears did a sneaky thing back in the late 70's and into the 80's and if those receipts ever see the sunlight the ink vanish like the old mission impossible tv series when they would light the fuse.:lol_hitti

Any reciept printed by a thermal printer (pretty much all retail stores) will fade to a blank sheet in a year or two.

Leave it in a hot car and it can turn solid black in an hour.

Also most stores won't accept photocopied receipts. Sneaky way to avoid warranties.

Sent via carrier pigeon.

If a store tried that to often a lawyer could probably mount a class action lawsuit over the issue against one or more major retailers.

Not like the old days when they would take the card sharks in Las Vegas out in the back alley and beat the ever loving hell out of them!
You would think if only we could take the merchants out back and beat them senseless they would stop all that nonsense:lol_hitti
