Hello guys, I am Bob Greene President of Pioneer Pole Buildings. It has been some time since I was on Garage Journal but I spent tonight reading the posts by "polebarnbob" and I have sent him a private message to see if I can address his issues since I have not been served with a lawsuit. I apologize that I did not see these posts much sooner, like almost 2 years ago! Anyway, Pioneer built over 800 buildings in 2013 and I can honestly say that not all of them were done without issues. I have been building pole buildings for a long time and we do a great job of preparing for the building process. We do a lot of work at our warehouse to lessen the work load on the crew on the jobsite. When a problem arises we do not ignore it, we do our best to fix the problem and make the customer happy. I cannot recall a building that "polebarnbob" is referring to but that is not to say that it does not exist, I just want to opportunity to address the issues and keep our integrity as one of the top builders of post frame buildings in tact. I appreciate the support of the Garage Journal Members in pressing for proof. If I get a reply from "polebarnbob" I will do my best to fix the issues. If there are any members that are not happy with their Pioneer Building or have questions please don't hesitate to contact me directly on this forum or by email at [email protected] and I would be glad to answer any question. I really enjoyed reading through some of the posts tonight and seeing what people are doing in their buildings and will visit more often. Thank you and have a great week.

I like what I just read from Bob Greene, sounds like an honest man who stands behind his product. Being a retired contractor in VA his statement about not all buildings were built without issues really rings true, fixing these problems to the customers satisfaction is the key. Seems strange that polebarnbob said a law suit was pending , from 2 years ago and Mr. Greene doesn't know anything about it, sorta sums it up. You don't build 800 structures a year with a bad BBB rap sheet.

Bob had your co. build me a barn in 2006, couldn't be happier. Glad to see you come on here and defend your co. I thought I heard your co. works with conestoga sometimes?

I had Pioneer build my garage in 2010. It was an enjoyable ,hassle free experience. I love the building and would do business with Pioneer again. My brother in law bought one from them soon after.

I used to work for a competitor to Pioneer, and while they had different approaches to the business (my employer focused on the very high end of the spectrum, Pioneer offers options starting at the value end of the spectrum) the word was that they would capably deliver what was expected at the price point. Lots of their buildings around my area have looked very nice for the 15 years I've lived around these parts.

Bob Greene...I don't have the number in front of me with the name of the person but he does state the name on the voicemail...I'm a bit disappointed that I've left three messages and he never called back. I was literally ready, cash in hand to buy but the office said I needed this guy to look at my foundation and plan out a build and give me a price. This was over a month ago, three calls and no response. I know 8K is a mere drop for you guys but this project was important to me and three phone calls with no response is dissapointing.

I lurked around GJ for quite some time before joining. One of the reasons for joining is that I liked the attitudes of the members and how helpful that everyone seemed to be as well as the lack of bashing that was present.

That being said, while I don't agree with someone starting a thread like this and not providing some sort of proof to back up his negative comments, I also don't agree with it becoming the **** show that it has. Since, it seems, the mods have deleted some of the OP's (at least one) trash talking posts and he has disappeared to (probably) never return, how about this entire thread is removed and everybody get back to being their fun loving selves?

Just my $.02

After going back and looking at the dates of the posts and of the thread I guess I have to ask, why was this revived? Can a mod please banish this to the depths of hell since, IMHO, it does not represent the GJ that I have come to love?
