Can't view pictures on here after installing windows 8.1

About a week ago now I upgraded to windows 8.1 from 8.0. Now when I click on a picture in a thread so it "opens" and pops up larger a screen pops up where the picture should be but it won't show the picture. Just shows a black spot with a things kind of spinning like it's doing something but the picture never shows up. I can right click on the picture and select "open in new tab" and it will show up in a new tab. Any idea why I can't click on pictures and have them open bigger like I used to be able to?

My best guess (since I haven't seen 8.0 or 8.1) is that it is most likely a "compatibility setting" issue.

Any suggestion for a non computer guy such as myself on how to fix this?

Dump Winduhs and install Ubuntu. Then dump Internet Explorer and install Google Chrome. I am not a computer guy but my buddy is and he did it for me. It's the best thing I ever did. My computer runs like a new one again and it's 6 years old.

Try another browser like Chrome or Firefox.

I have Windows 8 install also and seen the same problem. I installed google chrome and I dont have the same problem.

I would go with GOOGLE chrome.

While I can just install google chrome and see if that works I thought I would try fixing the problem here if I could. Not that I'm against chrome, just have always used IE.

I see this got moved to site suggestions which gets little to no traffic so I guess maybe google chrome is my only option. Thanks.
