Picked this up today. Didn't see much with a search, so I thought I'd share.

There appears to be an eagle mark on the Secure Grip side, but it was smushed.

Canton Drop Forge is still in business today, if it's the same company.

Picked up this double head Canton Drop Forge, this one has a clear logo of and eagle holding a wrench. Didn't see the logo on AA of WN sites.
This is from the Wrenching News site;
SURE GRIPStore brand for the E. C. Simmons Hardware Co., St. Louis, Missouri
Found on several alligator wrenches.

Wikipedia states that Keen Kutter was first used by Simmons in 1866, adopted as a trademark in 1870, and was used on their highest quality tools and cutlery."

oh.. there's no question that they had been issued a trademark for "Sure Grip" - I just have not been able to FIND the trademark.

I had "Sure Grip" in the list before I saw this thread... I just haven't figured out HOW to find a trademark when all I have is the maker's name and the thing they're wanting to trademark. (name or otherwise)
