Has anyone run across simple rubber or plastic caps that can be put on the end of 2x4 bench legs to protect the floor, make the bench slide easier, and also prevent moisture in the floor concrete from wicking up into the wooden legs?
Every web search I run comes up with lots of end caps for 4x4, 6x6 and larger posts, but the only 2x4 plastic caps were from a company that makes kids play sets. I don't want metal caps because they would scratch the painted floor, and there is also enough moisture in my garage floor that the metal would eventually rust.
Thanks,
Bruce
