Car hoods as decoration?

Anyone have a hood hanging in the shop/garage as decoration? I would love to see pics of this.

I want to do it but I don't want it to look like I am just storing some old hood on the wall.

Couple ideas there. I'm not a big Nascar fan but Vintage or classic Nascar
thats something else. It would be easy to re create an old super stock hood
NHRA style.

Many bars/taverns have Nascar hoods on the ceiling but there probably fiberglass.

Been considering the same thing just way down on my list of things to do.

Front 6" of a car would be classic! "O" club in NAS Oceana has the rudder (tail) of several F-18's in it.

I have a mid-50s Chevrolet truck tailgate I want to use as a bench coming off the garage wall. Yep, chains and all just drop her down and sit. Now, if I could have one functioning taillight on the left and a vintage license plate, that would be the cat's ace.

That's what got me thinking about it.

I have a an old hood from my Mustang days I am thinking about using, but I thought it would be nice to see some pictures of what other folks have done.

Saw a cool use for a hood the other day on Garage Mahal. Normally don't like what they do but they used it to cover a flat screen TV.

Added power lift, hit the switch and it raised up to reveal the TV. Guess it would help protect the TV also....
