My son and I are going to be starting on our first project car. Need some suggestions on a lift/stand not sure what you might call it. I'm fortunate enough to be able to store our project down at the my work which is a 12k sq ft warehouse. Most of the warehouse is spoken for but I do however have a little corner where I can keep the car. When we work on it (non working hours) we can roll it out where there is more room. So a 2 or 4 post lift isn't really what I'm looking for. More of a stand I can place the car on not even sure they make something like this but figured you folks would have an idea.

For those that appreciate "Long roofs"
Here you go a 1963 Mercury Meteor Station Wagon(Custom trim Package)

The plan for the car right now is to do motor/trans swap and change out brakes from drum to disc, and to keep the patina and clear coat it.

Attached are some pictures of the car and the area that I'm able to store the car.

Thanks.

Build a body dolly. Build it so the car sets on the front and rear suspension on the cart. Use big 10" solid rubber or poly casters and it will roll around easily and let you work on the brake corners.

Looking forward to this project. Haven't seen many of those cars lately let alone a wagon. I've owned 4 of them, two 4 drs, one 2 dr post and one 2 dr hardtop. Love these cars. Love the instrument panel.

Watched an old movie on Netflix last night that was chock full of '60's Fords/Mercs, (as well as other makes), There was at least one of those wagons in it, even looked to be the same colour.

This is my second Meteor. My other Meteor is a 63 2dr Sedan (post) White with red interior. Great Grandfather bought new in 1963 the car is still ALL original. No modifications to that car only the Wagon which was a barn find.

There is such a thing as a car lift that rolls around like a pallet jack. Pretty scary though. In ant case a normal 4 post lift would not require a real installation that would modify the warehouse
