Car lifts...hydraulic power pack options?

Stopped by one of the local liquidation stores yesterday, and hidden in the back on one of the shelves was a partial QuickJack 5000TL car lift. These come shipped in three separate boxes, unfortunately all they had was right hand side frame assembly. Lady was motivated to sell, so I was able to get it reasonably cheap.

These are somewhat limited lifts, and only lift around 5k pounds 24"...but they should be reasonably handy for someone with minimal space. You can actually buy individual frame assemblies for around $550 shipped, or buy a cylinder for $250 and build the frame yourself. The complete lift itself is around $1700.

Here's my question. Bendpak sells just about everything else from the lift.....but wont sell the hydraulic power pack separately, so I would have to source my own power pack. I've been looking online, and generic packs are readily available for hydraulic dump trailers. As long as I can figure out the required specs, any reason one of these wouldn't work? Seems like as long as the PSI matched and reservoir was large enough, it *should* work fine.

My Bendpac power pack motor failed. BendPac at that time had complete power packs available. I ended up getting a (Stone/SPX) power pack from BestBuy automotive, an internet retailer of several brands of lifts.

I considered several of the Amazon imports, but SPX was a known entity to me. The unit was built In Mexico. Most of the Amazon units were from Asia.

They come in many different sizes, so you will have to figure out the specs for the unit shipped with your lift. The information required should be online in an installation manual.

Anyone know what size hydraulic hoses these lifts use? I have an extra set of hoses at home, but not quite sure if they are the right size...

Another option is an air-powered hydraulic pump. HF for $160.
Make sure you have an over-pressure relief valve and hoses rated 2x for whatever pressure you use.
Perhaps some GJ hydraulics experts can lend some advice.
