Thinking of using carpeted bath mats to prevent tire marks on my new vct floor. Anyone know if the rubberized backing on the mats will react adversely with the tile?

Me too. So much hassle for a garage floor after spending money and time putting it down.
And I agree, flip the tiles upside down.
Porcelain tile in a garage just isn't feasible for everyone....
OP- I would just throw a spare tile under the tires if you're worried about marks
