Anyone with experience having metal car port installed.
Im wanting to add to my driveway going into back yard.
Transition from asphalt to a 20x22 concrete pad.
This will be covered area in front of shop to do any work that causes alot of dust. Wood working, grinding, and welding.
Carport will possibly have enclosed sides not sure yet.
Considering eagle car ports but reviews not to good. But all the car ports look to be made very simular.
Local building inspecter said the inspection before concrete poured and final inspection when structure is assembled.
Inspector said provide kentucky engneer stamp and foundation requirements from manfacture. If manufacture doesnt provide foundation requirements i have to hire some one to draw foundation requirements up.
Based on some you tube videos i just see 12x12 footer and 4 inch pad.
Should footer height exceed grade level? Assuming that the pad might be 5 inches above grade but its a open car port and not enclosed shop. So not sure.
Any help or advice.
Thank you
