Car trailer floor?

I just ordered a new enclosed car trailer with black and white checkerboard vinyl floor. It will have aluminum tire tread plates so no worry about wear from tires. My question is "should I coat the vinyl floor with a clear epoxy to make cleaning spills and drips easier?". I am concerned that anything dripped or spilled will seep into the cracks between the vinyl tiles and leave stains. I have clear coat epoxy on my garage floor and it makes cleaning a breeze. Any thoughts?

You would need to sand the tile first. You risk smearing the colors when you do this. If you can get the tiles before they are laid it will definitely be an upgrade to standard VCT.

We have the coating if you get that far.

we had an enclosed trailer we bought that had tile flooring.
the trailer was used, and the floor was in pretty bad shape, we ripped out the tile and had truck bed liner sprayed in on the floor and 12" up the walls.

made for easy cleanup after hauling a dirty, muddy race truck home.

Are you sure it's tile? I've seen several b&w check trailer floors that are sheet vinyl.

Good question Don. I just assumed it would be individual tiles but sheet is a possibility. I'll double check.
